BTRC Secretary got promoted to Joint Secretary

Noor-e Khawaja Alamin, an officer of the 22nd BCS administration cadre and secretary of BTRC, has been promoted as joint secretary to the government. Mr. Khawaja has been appointed as Officer on Special Charge of Ministry of Public Administration after being promoted. This information is known from the order issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday.

According to sources, Noor e Khawaja Alamin was felicitated by the media and communications wing of the commission and the commission secretariat at the BTRC building located in the capital's Agargaon administrative area soon after receiving the news of the promotion. At this time, Deputy Director of the said Wing Md. Zakir Hossain Khan and Senior Assistant Director Md. Saleh Uddin along with the concerned officials and employees wished Noor-e Khaja further prosperity in her career.

On May 13, 2024, Noor-e-Khaja Alamin was deputed as the Secretary of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) from the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Industry. Prior to this, he served as the Director of Safe Food Authority of the Government and Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War. He also served as UNO at Pekua of Cox's Bazar, Noakhali Sadar and Begumganj, Sandeep of Chittagong and Bancharampur of Brahmanbaria. He was a Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources as well.

Apart from Noor-e Khawaja, Md Rafiqul Haque of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited from the country's telecom sector has also been promoted in the same order.
